While thousands of highways professionals gathered at the NEC Birmingham for Highways UK 2025, the Torquay Group team was simultaneously flying the flag 10,000 miles away at Highways AU in Sydney – marking the Group’s first-ever dual-hemisphere showcase.
Across both events, Torquay Group companies — Solar Gates, MVIS, P&D Specialist Services, and Bartco AU — demonstrated how innovation, safety, and sustainability work better together.
At Highways UK, MVIS and P&D Specialist Services shared a striking joint stand under the Torquay Group brand, presenting the latest advancements in intelligent transport systems, site surveillance, and digital communications. Nearby, Solar Gates hosted its own vibrant stand, showcasing the INSTABOOM and INSTABOOM Go — two of the UK’s leading solar-powered access and traffic control barriers.
Meanwhile, over in Sydney, Bartco AU took centre stage at Highways AU, displaying its solar-powered portable traffic signals and smart work zone solutions to an eager Australian audience.
Neil Sampson, CEO of Solar Gates and founder of Bartco AU, said:
“To have the Torquay Group represented at two of the biggest highways events in the world at the same time is an incredible milestone. It shows just how far our family of companies has come — and how aligned we are in driving forward the future of solar-powered, intelligent highways technology.”
Scott Paton, CEO of Torquay Group, added:
“What’s exciting about this moment is seeing each company bring its own strength to the table while clearly sharing a single vision. Whether it’s in Birmingham or Sydney, people are starting to see what we mean when we say we’re stronger together — a connected group with shared purpose, shared values and a shared future.”
From the UK to Australia, one message rang clear — innovation travels fast under the Torquay Group banner.
